Volunteer With Us!
There are many ways to help us care for our beloved dogs
Be a Ranch hand – Walk dogs, socialize them, bathe them, play with them. We need volunteers who can spend time helping our dogs transition to their next adventure.
We are open 7 days a week from 9:30 to 1:00. You can drop in for an hour, stay the whole time, come any day. We just love having you. We ask that you dress for dogs jumping with muddy paws. When you come, we will give you a tour and show you the few things you need to know to have a safe and happy visit.
Be a Ranch Transport - If you would rather not have full physical contact, and you have a car, you can help us transport dogs to their vet visits. We schedule the appointments and do the communication, you would just need to drive the dogs. The dogs are always crated for safety.
Be a Ranch Flight Angel – If you fly to any of the destinations where we transport dogs, you can escort dogs. It’s easy. You pay for your flight, The Ranch pays for the dogs. We will take you to the airport, handle the check in process. We only ask that we get to the airport in enough time to check in the dogs and you. We handle the rest. You can also help a great deal by bringing crates back. We meet you at the airport with the crates, pay for the baggage, and pick you up at the Guadalajara airport and bring you home.
Be a Ranch Fundraiser - We are constantly doing fundraising events. Everything from garage sales, boat tours, mystery dinners. If you would like to help by volunteering, we would be grateful. We also have t-shirt sales from time to time in different locations lakeside.
Be a Ranch Adoption Specialist – We hold adoption events at least twice a month . They are usually held at the Lake Chapala Society grounds. Events last about two hours. We need help with the dogs. Each dog is on a leash and volunteers walk the dogs and talk to interested people.
Be a Ranch Foster – We are always looking for people willing to foster. It can be any way you want. Short term, long term, medical, if you are willing, we will find the right dog. Sometimes we ask for an analysis of how a dog does in a home. Sometimes we need help with an older dog, or younger pup adjust to their new normal.
Be a Ranch Donor – We have opportunities to donate to our efforts. It can be a monetary amount once or recurring. It can be collars, leashes, food, medicine., towels, dog houses or buckets. Just ask us and we can give you an idea about what we need.
